FI Advisory Board
First Inkling would like to thank our advisory board members, without whom our mission would not be complete. They’ve exceeded our expectations with regard to forging meaningful connections with First Inkling’s student associate editors and writers, and also for providing fresh and inspiring perspectives on being successful in the magazine industry. They have also helped us identify and land great student writers and satellite editors at their various institutions, and will continue to do so. Our board has also helped promote our magazine and many of our members have spoken at conferences that we co-sponsor, such as College Media Advisers, Inc.; Associated Collegiate Press, Int.; Association of Writers and Writing Programs.
In turn we offered our advisory board membership in a community of the best writers and editors, as well as opportunities to participate in discovering and developing the next generation of great writers. We’ve offered our advisory board members promotion on our website, where they will be able to blog new ideas and share some of their new work. In the future, there will also be opportunities for them to talk and read their work at the conferences we attend and co-sponsor, as well as other First Inkling events.
